About Me

My photo
Bernard
Kindkinderinsgrond After living in a two bed roomed home which many generations before me have lived and raised their families, I have finally managed to build my own home. My name is Bernard and I together with my wife Sofia, kids Wade and Robyn are building our first home from the ground up. It ain’t no jokes peeps, it takes hard, manual labour, blood, sweat and tears and it ain’t easy with the many leaking holes in a man’s wallet. The trenches you see have been dug by five guys, yip five guys. These include Annie aka AndrĂ© the main man site manager, Ernie former cook and office mannetjie, Fanuell a leading brainy smurf from his hometown Malawi, Timmy AKA Die Tier, Fireman and resident Mayor of Baadjies Avenue and me a City of Cape Town “Council Man”. Mense it issie jokes nie. It’s real hard work, but a little elbow grease never killed nobody. Well, I’ll let you all know after this weekend, apparently a REAL MAN is measured not in the way he wears a suit but whether or not he is able to mix concrete. Yip, I guess we’ll have to check this coming weekend wish us luck, think we gonna need it!!!
